Welcome to Color Picker ("we", "our", or "the App"). We are committed to respecting and safeguarding your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how information is handled when you use the Color Picker mobile application on Android.
Color Picker is designed from the ground up with a privacy-first philosophy. All color sampling, camera analysis, and image processing happen 100% locally on your device. We do not operate external accounts, databases, or cloud tracking servers.
To deliver its core features, Color Picker requests the following Android permissions:
| Permission | Purpose & Use | Data Handling |
|---|---|---|
| Camera ( android.permission.CAMERA) |
Used strictly for the real-time Live Camera Viewfinder to sample colors (HEX/RGB) from objects in front of your camera. | Zero storage & zero transmission. Camera video frames are analyzed temporarily in volatile device memory (RAM) and immediately discarded. No photos or video recordings are saved or uploaded. |
| Flashlight ( android.permission.FLASHLIGHT) |
Used as an optional torch/illuminator to assist with accurate color sampling in dim or low-light environments. | Hardware switch control only. No data is collected. |
| Photo / Storage Access (Android Photo Picker) |
Used when you explicitly choose to select an image or screenshot from your device gallery to extract color palettes or sample pixels. | The selected image is decoded directly in device memory. It is never transmitted to any external server or third party. |
When you create custom color palettes, save colors, or review your sampling history, that data is stored locally in the private sandbox directory of your device.
The App integrates Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK) to support free app distribution through advertising. Google AdMob may collect and process certain non-personal device information to serve ads and prevent fraudulent clicks:

Because Color Picker does not transmit personal data or store user data on remote servers, your colors, palettes, and photos remain as secure as your physical device. We recommend using standard device lock screen security (PIN, pattern, or biometrics) to protect your device.
We may update our Privacy Policy periodically to reflect app updates, legal requirements, or changes in third-party services. Any updates will be published on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date.
