Sound Booster & Equalizer is designed as a standalone utility. We do not gather, store, or sell any personal data such as names, email addresses, physical addresses, or phone numbers.

The app only reads anonymous hardware characteristics locally on your phone (e.g. manufacturer, model, active audio output type) solely to configure audio profiles and ensure stable DSP effect compatibility.

Our app requests only the minimum necessary permissions strictly required to provide audio controls and advertising services:

Permission	Purpose & Usage
MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS	Allows the app to adjust media stream volume, trigger Android LoudnessEnhancer gain, apply Equalizer band filters, and control BassBoost effects.
BLUETOOTH_CONNECT	Detects connected Bluetooth headphones, earbuds, or car audio systems to automatically apply your preferred profile presets. It does not access contacts or call audio.
INTERNET	Required by Google AdMob SDK to load and display advertising banners, interstitials, and rewarded video ads.
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE	Allows the app and Google AdMob to detect whether an active Wi-Fi or cellular data connection is available before requesting ads.

To keep Sound Booster & Equalizer free to use, we display advertisements provided by Google AdMob (Google Play Services Ads).

Google AdMob may collect and process information such as:

• Pseudonymous advertising identifiers (such as Google Advertising ID / GAID);
• IP address (used to infer coarse location for localized ads);
• Device model, OS version, and network carrier information;
• Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks, and rewarded video completion).

You have control over personalized ads on your Android device:

• Reset Advertising ID: Go to Settings > Google > Ads > Reset advertising ID.
• Opt out of Personalized Ads: Go to Settings > Google > Ads > Delete advertising ID or enable Opt out of Ads Personalization.

Opting out does not reduce the number of ads shown, but ads will be based on general context rather than your browsing history or interests.

Sound Booster & Equalizer is a general-audience utility and is not aimed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately, and we will take appropriate measures.

Your audio preferences (selected EQ preset, theme, auto-apply profile toggles) are stored exclusively in private local storage on your device (`SharedPreferences`). They are never uploaded to any remote server.

Hearing Protection: Our app includes safety confirmation warnings for higher amplification (+5.0 dB). We advise users to begin listening at lower levels to safeguard their hearing and audio hardware.

We may update our Privacy Policy periodically to reflect app enhancements, API adjustments, or regulatory requirements. Any modifications will be posted directly on this page with an updated "Effective Date".
